Information about the layout:

It should be noted that I am not a railway modeller. I have never modelled anything to do with model railways and up to this time had only played with trains.

The layout would depict the railway from Wemyss Castle Station in the east, past the engine shed and wagon works to exchange sidings in the west.

Buildings will consist off:
Wemyss Castle Station Masters House, Wemyss Castle Station, Wemyss Castle Signal Box, Goods Shed, Engine Shed and Wagon Works, Signal Cabin, various sheds and outbuildings.

The layout will consist off:
Eight, 4' x 2.6" baseboards made out of 9mm smooth plywood.
This is an end to end layout and includes a 4' fiddle yard at either end.

It is planned to have dual operating systems, DC and DCC.
DC for all NBR traffic and DCC for all Wemyss traffic. WPR and NBR track can be kept as separate running areas.

The aim is to share what I have learned and to encourage other people to take the plunge and take their first steps in modelling.
