Corwen History
This welsh station was opened in 1865 by the Great Western Railway then a Terminus from Ruabon and Denbigh but later the line was extended to Reach Dolgellau and then Barmouth. Through acts of parliament GWR and LMS had through booking rights and then in 1925 LMS paid a share of the administration costs.
The west end of Corwen went to Barmouth via Dolgellau and the east end of it split into 2 just outside the station one went to Rhyl via Denbigh and the other went to Llangollen
